Strategy 1: Contains various messaging tools, fact sheets, and educational pamphlets for both the home and workplace, focused on proper storage solutions, as well as how one can safely dispose of medications via drop boxes and/or take back events.
Strategy 2: This section of the toolkit provides tools to aid in the promotion of responsible prescribing and dispensing policies and practices, including guides for not only prescribers themselves, but templates and brochures for community members who will be reaching out to prescribers in an effort to encourage CSPMP registration.
Strategy 3: Strategy 3 in the toolkit is designed to enhance Rx drug practice and policies in law enforcement, with resources surrounding the importance of enrolling in the prescription drug monitoring program, as well as instructions to do so. Lastly, it includes a tip sheet for those who will be reaching out to law enforcement agencies, as well as training templates for ongoing education.
Strategy 4: In this section of the toolkit, one can find a multitude of messaging materials to assist in increasing public awareness and patient education. Specifically, it is comprised of a parent talk kit, posters, tip sheets, and various mass media templates and examples.
Strategy 5: This includes materials designed to enhance assessment and referral to substance abuse treatment, including signs of addiction, SBIRT resources, screening tool examples, as well as a directory of statewide publicly funded detox locations.
